Beacon Lodge Bed and Breakfast

Welcome to Beacon Lodge. We are located in the heart of West Sussex surrounded by beautiful countryside. Petworth House is nearby and is a magnificent country house and park with an internationally important art collection, comprising numerous works by Turner.

Within 15 minutes is Goodwood which hosts the Festival of Speed and the Classic Revival and of course the famous racecourse.  Fontwell Park racecourse is also nearby.

Just 6 miles to the South is the historic town of Arundel one of the most picturesque towns in Sussex.  The ancient castle overlooks the town and is a spectacular sight.  The Catholic cathedral is also worth a visit and the town is home to several antique shops and many good restaurants.

The City of Chichester is famous for its spectacular cathedral and the festival theatre.  There is a large selection of shops and restaurants and a new cinema complex.

RSPB Reserve near Pulborough which organises tours and lectures.

We are within 2 miles of the Southdowns Way – a magnet for cyclists and walkers.  We have a secure lock up garage for bicycles.

The Sussex Coast is within half an hours drive and there are many pretty coastal towns and villages and the famous beach at West Wittering – home to many celebrities.

There are two good pubs/restaurants just a five minutes drive away.  The Swan at Fittleworth and the Squire and Horse are both excellent.
