Pulborough is surrounded by vineyards. English wine is now very popular and wine tasting tours are available at Nyetimber and Stopham, and Nutborne vineyards are close to Beacon Lodge, and Kinsbrook vineyard nearby has a restaurant and wine tasting. There are three wedding venues in our area. Bignor Park is a mile away and hosts weddings in the summer months. Fitzleroi Barn is 3 miles away in Fittleworth, and Bury Manor Barn, part of Dorset House school is 2 miles away. We welcome wedding guests from these venues. The Southdowns Way is a walkers paradise. Walkers from Beacon Lodge can enjoy the heathland and woods at nearby Coates Common or the many trails in the National Trust woods in Slindon. Goodwood, hosts the annual Festival of Speed in late June, plus throughout the year racing meetings are held including Glorious Goodwood at the beginning of August. Fontwell Racecouse is 7 miles from Beacon Lodge. Petworth House and Gardens is a beautiful country house with an internationally important art collection.
